This ministry happens every Sunday morning during the church service. All the children from pre-Kindergarten to grade 6 are dismissed prior to the sermon. Here children are encouraged to grow their faith by learning songs and Bible stories and applying Biblical principles to daily life.
Children from newborn up to age 3 are invited to join caregivers and helpers in the nursery rooms during the morning and evening worship service. Nursery care provides play and a small snack. Parents/caregivers can be called out of church with a number system if your child needs this.
The focus of Cadets is for Christian men to mentor boys into a living relationship with Jesus. Our counselors take this responsibility to heart every week. Cadets runs from September to April, for boys in grades 4 – 8. Thursday nights (7:00 – 8:30 pm) are spent working on projects, some to help with earning a badge, and some just for fun. These include learning to weld, making a wooden briefcase, building potato cannons, working on knots, and participating in Bible lessons. Every year, our Cadet club competes with other clubs in the Snow Derby and Cadet-o-rama, which test the skills they’ve learned. The Cadets also have fun events throughout the year, like a Saturday hike or bike tour and camping. Every three years, the boys have an opportunity to go to the International Camporee.
